A Spark Session is a live 3-minute video date with another FaceMeet user — right now, no planning needed. You see each other face to face in real time. When the 3 minutes end you each privately tap Spark or Skip. If you both tap Spark, chat unlocks. If either person skips, no connection is made and neither person is told the other's choice.

Research shows that real attraction is determined in the first 30–90 seconds of meeting someone. Three minutes gives you enough to sense chemistry without the pressure of a full date. You're not trying to get to know someone deeply — you're answering one question: is there something here worth exploring? If yes, chat is waiting.

No. All profile videos must be recorded live on camera at the time of onboarding. Gallery uploads are not allowed. This is how we ensure every profile is a real, current person — making catfishing essentially impossible on FaceMeet.

No. Spark Sessions are live peer-to-peer video calls and are never recorded or stored by FaceMeet. Your video call is private between you and the other person only.

If only one person enters the waiting room and the other doesn't join within 60 seconds, the session times out automatically. Your Spark Session is returned to your balance — you don't lose the credit.

The free plan gives you 3 real video dates per week — enough to meet someone new every other day. You also get a video profile, unlimited free chat after every mutual Spark, and the ability to earn free sessions by referring friends. No credit card required.

A subscription (Spark+ or Gold) gives you a fresh set of video dates every single day — best if you date consistently. A bundle is a one-time purchase of sessions you use whenever you like — they never expire, perfect if you're casual about dating or want to try FaceMeet without committing to a monthly charge. You can combine both — bundles stack on top of your daily subscription sessions.

Free sessions reset weekly and do not roll over. Paid subscription sessions reset daily and do not roll over. Bundle sessions never expire and stay in your balance until you use them.

Yes — always, for everyone, forever. Once you and someone have a mutual Spark, messaging is completely free regardless of your plan. We will never charge per message or lock you out of a conversation you already started. Chat is a right, not a feature.

Yes. Cancel anytime from the app settings or your Stripe billing portal. You keep all your benefits until the end of the current billing period. No cancellation fees, no questions asked. See our Payment Terms and Refund Policy for billing details.

Every profile on FaceMeet must include a live recorded video — you cannot upload photos or pre-recorded clips. This makes it essentially impossible to fake a profile. Our face detection checks that a real human face is present. No AI bots can pass a live video check.

Your data is stored securely on Supabase with industry-standard encryption. We use Daily.co for video calls which are peer-to-peer and never stored. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes. You can block and report any user from their profile or from the chat screen. Reports are reviewed through admin review queues. Users who violate our Community Guidelines, Content Policy, or Moderation Policy may lose access to FaceMeet. Your safety is our highest priority.

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your data including video profile and all messages will be permanently deleted within 30 days. If you have an active subscription it will be cancelled automatically. For help contact support@facemeet.app.

Share your unique referral link from your profile screen. When a friend joins through your link you earn 1 free Spark Session. When they complete their first Spark Session you earn 1 more. When they upgrade to Spark+ or Gold you earn 3 bonus sessions. Referral sessions go into your balance and never expire.

Go to your Profile screen and scroll down to the Invite Friends section. You'll see your unique referral link like facemeet.app/join/yourname. Tap copy, then share it via WhatsApp, SMS, or any other way you like.
